Up until February 2021, Tommy Fury was fighting pro boxers with way more losses than wins on their professional records. After building up a 5-0 record, Fury finally decided to face Jordan Grant, an undefeated fighter, with 2 wins earlier in June this year.
However, ‘TNT’ again had to drop down to fighting a part-time MMA fighter, Anthony Taylor (0-1), on August 29 on the undercard of a Showtime PPV main event – Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley.
However, his placement on the undercard was no mere coincidence; Fury signed onto Showtime with a 2-fight contract and his last event was a brilliant setup to his next fight, which will indubitably be the biggest fight of his career up to this point.
After ups and downs in negotiations, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally all set to clash on December 18 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Whilst Jake enjoys afternoons in the arcade playing dance mat with his side ting…. I thought I’d take 5 minutes out from the best camp of my life to say NOTHING can save you now. DECEMBER 18th, you’ll see that you can’t come in my world and not get hurt pic.twitter.com/ukVC9mxPQu

As the final date inches closer, this fight is now becoming bigger by the second; the fact that this fight is equally big and critical for both fighters is now settling in.
John Fury confirms Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is not fixed
In a recent interview, John Fury talked about the upcoming clash between his son and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. At one point, he also directly addressed all those doubting the legitimacy of this matchup.
John Fury highlighted and suggested that Tommy Fury would never accept even a penny from Jake Paul’s corner to back down or take a fall during the fight.
Tommy Fury’s father also ensured fans that he would rather have his son “put to death” over ever opting for a bailout like that.
“We just want the fight because we know we can win it. You know, people think Tommy’s getting paid to lose, they’re joking!
“A Fury would rather be put to death with a bullet between his two eyes than go down that road. It’s never happened in 300 years of the Fury dynasty, it ain’t happening now. This is real, I’m telling you this is real,” said John Fury.
John Fury then looked straight into the camera and reaffirmed – “This is real!“.
