Scottish champions Rangers FC showed their solidarity for Bukayo Saka by gifting Arsenal a Rangers FC jersey with Saka on the back. The jersey was signed by the entire squad and given to the club captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
This was a bad time for young Arsenal star Saka, as he had missed the decisive penalty in the final of the UEFA EURO 2021. His penalty miss and misses from United players Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho cost England the entire tournament.
As a result, all three of them faced a lot of racist abuse and slander on social media. However, the entire world of football stood up for the young players (Saka is only 19) and condemned the abuse. Saka had an amazing tournament and was vital for England.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Marcus Rashford was playing with an injury. Jadon Sancho was brilliant flashes in the limited time that he played for the country. They all are huge prospects who’ll do great for England for years to come.
Saka has already had an incredible season in the premier league as he was one of Arsenal’s best players. His versatility was essential for the club as they looked to him to be the creative spark on the pitch. If last season is anything to go by, Arsenal has a great player on their hands.
Some pre-season troubles for Arsenal without Bukayo Saka
However, the same cannot be said for Arsenal as they are in a spot of bother after last season. They finished eighth and are not featuring in any European competitions this season. It’s an embarrassing fall from grace from one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Their preseason matches are not going well either as they played out a 2-2 draw with the Scottish side as Eddie Nketiah saved Arsenal from some further embarrassment. Arsenal also lost to Hibernian in their first friendly of the pre-season.
They are making some huge moves in the transfer window as they are very close to signing Brighton center-back Ben White. In addition, they have also been linked to Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar after signing Nuno Tavares from Benfica. It’ll be interesting to see what their manager Mikel Arteta can achieve with this young and talented squad.
