The 2021 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is currently underway on the European Tour. The tournament is played on three different links courses which are on the home of golf, St. Andrews. Meanwhile, the English golfer Danny Willett won the event by 2 strokes as he remained -18 for the event.
Prominent players like Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, and Tommy Fleetwood finished in the top-10. Furthermore, Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is one of the richest golf events on the European Tour.
This event has a total purse of $5,000,000. The championship is also one of the most challenging events with severe course conditions and diabolic bunkers.
However, Alex Noren, a Swedish golfer, executed an incredible approach shot in the third round. This shot got the whole golfing world talking. So let us have a look at this shot of Alex Noren.
Alex Noren plays a magnificent flop shot at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Alex Noren was seven-under thru 16 and was looking solid at 13th place. However, he had a strenuous approach shot lined up, as he had the infamous bunker with a downhill lie.
Furthermore, a large part of the green was sloping down towards the daunting bunker, and there was a VIP tent immediately after the green. Hence, getting this shot right was impeccable for the Swedish golfer.
This was sexual from Alex Noren.

He took a 56-degree wedge and played an excellent flop shot, and got the ball pin high with just 4 to 5 feet away to the left. Noren made par on this hole.
He eventually finished this event with a score of -11 and shared the 12th spot. Meanwhile, the golf fans around the world went crazy after seeing this shot, and this is how they reacted.

Great shot. Though I’m fairness into the wind made it a touch easier.

Was this autocorrect? Sexual? Good shot, but not that hard. That is NOT a tight lie to somebody who plays Arizona hard pan .

While almost everyone applauded the shot and most of them admitted it to be a tough shot. There were a couple of people who thought this wasn’t as difficult as everyone was portraying.
