Up and coming heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois is gearing up for his US debut. The Briton will make his first US appearance on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley fight on Sunday 29 August.
Dynamite’s trainer Shane McGuigan spoke about the challenges Dubois will face fighting in the United States. “Luckily, this isn’t a huge unification world title fight that’s normally dragged us out to America. Even though Dan didn’t have many senior fights he still traveled as an amateur. So you’re getting used to the experience of going abroad.”

“The time zone is going to be a little bit of an issue but we won’t go out and do weeks on end out there. We’re gonna have to base ourselves here and go out maybe a week before.” McGuigan said in an interview with BT Sport.
Daniel Dubois vowed to throw even harder punches in his US debut. Frank Warren, Dynamite’s promoter, advised him to ‘make a statement’. The WBA Heavyweight interim titleholder takes on Joe Cusumano.
Cusumano is a power puncher who has won 17 of his 19 fights by way of knockout. If Dubois is able to stop Cusumano, he will definitely be in contention for the title shot against Trevor Bryan, the WBA ‘regular’ champion.

Daniel Dubois vs Joe Cusumano
Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois takes on Joe Cusumano. 33-year-old Cusumano is an able opponent for the modern-day Mike Tyson Dubois. Both fighters boast vicious knockout power.
“I’m excited for the experience. To be fighting out there will be a great show because these guys bring a lot of publicity and hype. To make a statement out there is what I want to do. Get people talking about me.” Dubois said.
"When are you going to fight?"

The fight takes place on the undercard of the highly awaited Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley matchup. The card features several other big names, as fellow Briton Tommy Fury also makes his US debut alongside Dubois.
Both the Britons will be looking to impress the US audiences in their debut, to gain more popularity. It is a great opportunity for both fighters to establish their presence on the global stage. Will both the Britons impress in their first appearance on US soil?
