The Detroit Pistons are renowned for their “Bad Boys” era. The three-time championship-winning franchise performs their home games at Little Caesars Arena, Midtown. Between 1986 to 1991, the Pistons experienced the “Bad Boys” era.
Head coach Chuck Daly, hired in 1983, was the architect of this notorious Pistons era. They also acquired key players like Dennis Rodman, Adrian Dantley, and John Salley. With this new team, the Pistons played a defensive and very physical play style against their rivals. This unique and controversial play style earned them the nickname of “Bad Boys”.
Recently Pistons’ fans revived the famous NBA fable of “Bad Boys” for a game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Pistons disappointingly lost the game as the Nets recorded a 96-90 victory. However, this failed to stop a Pistons fan from pointing out one moment from the game that evoked the “Bad Boys” era of the Pistons.

The tweet shows Pistons’ guard Isaiah Stewart standing over former Pistons player Blake Griffin. Griffin, currently a Nets player, was seen lying on the floor while NBA referees rushed to intervene and break up the duo. Griffin joined the Pistons in 2018 and left for the Nets in 2021.
