Sony has recently introduced free game trials for Death Stranding: Director’s Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, but it is not what it looks like. There is a catch. An email sent to PlayStation 5 owners by Sony on Friday announced the free trial news. These popular titles now can be downloaded for absolutely free and played for several hours in the UK. However, the catch is that the time limit of this trial will begin when players begin their download. Basically, it looks like the download time will be included in the time of your trial period.
That means your trial period starts as soon as you click that download button. Once you hit that “Download Trial” or “Add to Library” button, you will get a limited amount of time to play the game, whether you play or not. After that free trial period, you won’t be able to access it for free anymore and will need to purchase the full game if you wish to continue playing.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is free for six hours (including the download time) and Sackboy: A Big Adventure for five hours (again, including the download time). So, players with a faster internet connection will be able to enjoy the game for a longer period of time.
Try some of the most popular titles of PlayStation 5 for free
The email reads, “Ever wanted to try some of the most popular games from PlayStation Studios before committing to the full game? Now you can. One trial account one account per game” The games are now redeemable from the PlayStation store until 28 October 2021,11:59 PM.
Sony is starting a thing called Game Trials, allowing you to play certain games for a limited time period. Good idea, all little like Ea Play 10 play I guess.

Also, the trial applies on PlayStation 5 only and not on the PlayStation 4 versions of the titles. Any kind of purchase online during the free trial period will only be usable after the expiration. Sony is also planning to add more PlayStation 5 titles to its streaming service. This could potentially offer much smoother ways for PlayStation 5 users to try games in near future.
What do you think about these free game trails? Also, what all games do you want Sony to add to these free trials in the future? Let us know in the comments section below.
