McDonald’s Pay the Most Creative Tribute to Bubba Wallace After His Famous Talladega Win

On Monday, Bubba Wallace and the 23XI Racing team stormed to victory at the Talladega Superspeedway. In light of the win, Wallace’s longtime sponsor McDonald’s decided to pay tribute. So the fast food giant’s Twitter account briefly changed its name to ‘Bubba Wallace Stan Account’.

It also had a banner that read, “Bu bba ba ba ba”, which was a play on the classic McDonald’s jingle. Since then, the fast food brand has reverted back to its original name and slogan. However, they did leave a pinned tweet that read, ‘Can’t spell Bubba Wallace without the W’. Wallace himself responded by flipping the logo and replying to the tweet.

On a more serious note, it was an incredible feat that Wallace managed to achieve. One thing is for sure, Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan would have definitely been thrilled. The bad news is that the African-American driver is still stuck down in 21st place in the championship.

What does the Bubba Wallace win mean for the Playoff race?

In the end, Wallace’s win changes nothing in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoff Round of 12. However it does mean that the 11 remaining drivers have one race remaining to try and secure their berths in the next Playoff round. With seven spots left, the stakes have been raised, and the competition will heat up.

Next on the hit list is the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, also known as the Roval. Over here, many of the drivers will be battling hard to stay in the competition. Out of all of them, Denny Hamlin has nothing to lose, having qualified after his win at Las Vegas.Meanwhile, William Byron, Alex Bowman, Christopher Bell and Kevin Harvick are in hugely vulnerable positions. So, the four of them really need to buck up, as do the likes of Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch, who are on the bubble.
