As much as we think professional athletes live for their sport, they have a life besides it. In fact, it is absolutely necessary to keep interested in a host of activities to prevent getting bored by a single one. Bubba Watson recently revealed his interests besides the obvious one, golf.
Watson is a 12-time winner on the PGA Tour and also has two Masters wins to his name. Recently, he appeared on the Rick and Bubba show ahead of the release of his book, ‘Up and Down: Victories and Struggles in the Course of Life.’
What Bubba Watson loves besides golf
When talking of his interests other than his sport, Bubba Bussey asked Watson: “What is your favourite thing to do other than playing golf?”

The 42-year-old replied, “Oh man! Well, I’ve got a lot of things. But, the thing that I live for, I just love going to NBA games and sitting on the courtside and talking to the other athletes. I love shooting the breeze, I love pulling for them, I love telling them I’m praying for them. Because, you know, their life is, they’re more on TV than we are, right?”
“If you’re up on the lead, you’re on TV. But you’re on sports center non stop in certain athletes, and especially NBA players, because it’s easier to see the highlights. It’s easy to get the highlights because of the camera angle. So, you know, I love going to the NBA games and meeting with those boys and talking to them and interacting with them in a positive way,” he added.
Moreover, he said, “Now with my kids, my kids love fishing. So, behind my house, we have dolphins show up behind my house. And so now, going out and just fishing in the boat. It’s like you’re away from the phone, you’re at peace with the world. It’s just you and your family on the boat. That’s been fun over the last year and year and a half, especially during the pandemic.”
