WATCH: David Beckham Hands Usain Bolt His First Trophy On Soccer Return

The very legend himself, David Beckham, handed a trophy to yet another phenomenal athlete, Usain Bolt. The latter captained his team, World XI, at Soccer Aid and emerged victorious.

Usain St. Leo Bolt, OJ, CD, OLY is a retired Jamaican sprinter. The 35-year-old Jamaican is widely popular and known for his lightning-fast speed in not only 100m but also in 200m and 4x100m relay. Given the fact that his world record in 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay is still untouched, is a testament of his incredible talent.

Not only this, but also he successfully claimed 8 Olympic medals during his career. This made him the most accomplished sprinter of all times. Well, the 11-time world champion kept adding onto this winning streak, until the very last minute of his retirement. Now, he has taken to a different field altogether.

Usain Bolt at Soccer Aid

Soccer Aid, initiated by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes in 2006, organised the 10th edition of its event later this week. The idea of this event is to raise funds in the aid of UNICEF UK. Over the course of 15 years, the event has raised over £38 million through ticket sales and donations from the public.

Apparently, the friendly matches between England and World XI have been quite captivating and have kept the audience on their toes all throughout.

Leading World XI, Usain Bolt won the championship with a remarkable win over England. The legend was accompanied by Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo. Meanwhile, the opposition comprised Manchester United legends Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. Adding to the list, Pablo Zabaleta, Micah Richards, Olly Murs, Mark Wright, Mo Farah, David James, Jamie Redknapp, Kelly Smith and Fara Williams were also there.

On one hand, Kem Cetinay scored two consecutive goals. On the other, Joel Dommett, the stand-up comic and the English goalkeeper, scored one. Unfortunately, Lee Mack missed two good chances, just before the final whistle. Regardless, this led to a memorable win of 3-0 over England. Ultimately, the entire squad celebrated with their captain, Usain Bolt and David Beckham as the presenter of the prize.

Organised in the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, all the celebrities successfully raise a record-breaking amount of £13,014,769. With the hopes of making the world a better place, such sporting events should be held more often and with the same spirit of enthusiasm.
