Toni Kukoc Claims This Former MVP With Michael Jordan & the Bulls Would Make the ‘Best Lineup Ever’

The 90s Chicago Bulls are perhaps one of the best teams the NBA has ever seen. Led by the duo of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the Bulls were simply one of the best teams all-round ever.

With MJ dominating both ends of the floor, Scottie Pippen playmaking and role players like Ron Harper and Toni Kukoc chipping in, the star-studded Bulls were simply unstoppable in the post seasons. In the seven post-season MJ and the Bulls played, they made it to six NBA finals.

There was no stopping the team in the Finals as they decimated the opposition every single time. Winning six NBA championships in eight years, it is easy to say, the 90s Bulls make a strong case for being one of the best teams to play in the NBA.

Toni Kukoc says Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan would make 90s Bulls best team ever

Jerry Krause and the front office certainly had made all the right moves for the Bulls. Building a team around Jordan and Pippen, Bulls brought in the likes of Dennis Rodman who solidified their defense.

Apart from that the additions of BJ Armstrong, John Paxson and bench players like Steve Kerr made the team a force to be reckoned with. While the Bulls pretty much were unstoppable, one team did defeat MJ led Bulls in the 90s, the Shaquille O’Neal led Orlando Magic.

Given the lack of a quality center, Shaq dominated the Bulls and defeated them in six games. Toni Kukoc certainly thinks that O’Neal might be the missing piece from making the Bulls the best lineup ever.

In a recent interview with NBA insider Scoop B Robinson, Kukoc claimed that Shaq with Jordan and the Bulls would make the “Best lineup ever assembled.” Kukoc said, “It wouldn’t even matter who brings the ball up. There’s so much firepower there that I don’t think that there would be ANY team that would compete with them.” He added, “Wouldn’t be fair.”

The Hall of Famer certainly raises a fair point with this claim. Shaq in his prime was perhaps the most dominant player in the league. While Luc Longley was good, Shaq would be a massive upgrade as a starter in the team.

With O’Neal unleashed, the Bulls not only will get an excellent rim runner, they will also get a pick and roll machine. Given how relentless both MJ and Shaq were in the 90s, this Bulls’ team would undoubtedly be the best team ever assembled in the NBA.
