The NRL's grand-final build up in Queensland couldn't have got off to a worst start after reports Maroons Origin star Reece Walsh, has been arrested.
Walsh was arrested by Queensland Police on Saturday night over an alleged incident at a Surfers Paradise nightclub, News Corp reports.
The Warriors have informed the NRL integrity unit of the matter.
Vision of his arrest made its way on to social media by onlookers.
In a statement, a Queensland Police spokesperson said an individual had allegedly failed to comply with a "move in direction".
"About 12.15am this morning police from Surfers Paradise ordered a move on direction to a 19-year-old male," the spokesperson said.
"About 45 minutes later officers observed that male in the same area.
"As a result he was arrested and taken to Surfers Paradise Police Station."
Walsh is in line to win the Dally M rookie of the year on Monday night after being crowned RLPA rookie of the year last weekend.
Walsh was selected in Queensland's Origin team in June, only to withdraw the day before Game Two after injuring his hamstring at training.
More to come.
