Chase Elliott Unveils a Brand New Livery for Darlington Playoff Race

At the moment, there are two races remaining until the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs begin. When they do begin, the Darlington Raceway kicks off the proceedings. In light of that, Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott has unveiled a brand new livery for that very race.

Elliott’s foundation is partnering with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for that particular race. He said, “As a lot of you might know, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of that, the Chase Elliott Foundation, Napa Auto Parts and Hendrick Motorsport have decided to give the #9 car an entirely new look. For the race weekend coming up in Darlington on September 5th.”

He revealed that a few children helped sketch out some great artwork. Those designs will comprise of a brand new look for the #9 car. Additionally, some designs will be going for auction later. The idea is to help in providing better car for the children. On a parting note, Elliott admitted that he is looking forward to the race at Darlington.

What to expect from Chase Elliott?

Of course, there are still two races remaining in regular season before the real action kicks off. Elliott is under no pressure, as he has already qualified for the playoffs, along with his Hendrick Motorsports teammates. However, Kyle Larson is considered as one of the favorites, especially since he is leading the regular season standings.

While that does not guarantee a title triumph, the #5 driver has been in excellent form this year. On the other end of the scale, second-placed driver Denny Hamlin will be highly motivated to finally break his win jinx. At Indianapolis last weekend, he came awfully close, but an encounter with a wild Chase Briscoe ended Hamlin’s hopes. Speaking of Indianapolis, Chase Elliott could only muster 4th place, behind AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson respectively.
