The American defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the first round of the tournament and thrashed Andreas Seppi in straight sets in the second round.

Andy Murray v Denis Shapovalov

In probably the most exciting match on day five of Wimbledon 2021, an experienced and resurgent Andy Murray will go up against a next-gen superstar, Denis Shapovalov.

While Murray won a five-set marathon against Germany’s Oscar Otte in the second round, Shapovalov was lucky as he got a walkover against Pablo Andujar.

The two will be face-off each other for the very first time at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Keeping his record in mind, it’ll be Murray who will surely begin the match as the favorite.

Final Prediction: Andy Murray to win in five sets

Andrey Rublev v Fabio Fognini

Another classic encounter will follow the match between Murray and Shapovalov as World No.7 Andrey Rublev will face Fabio Fognini. Rublev has been brilliant on the court since the beginning of the Grand Slam and crushed Lloyd Harris in straight sets in the second round.

On the other hand, Fognini hasn’t faced a tough opponent yet and the match against Rublev might prove to be a big test of his temperament.

Head-to-head, the Italian leads the battle 5-2 at the moment. However, this will be the first time when the two will cross their paths on grass. Their last battle was at the ATP Cup 2021 where the Russian steamrolled over the Italian player.

Final Prediction: Andrey Rublev to win in four sets

Diego Schwartzman v Marton Fucsovics

Having just lost a single set in the tournament so far, Diego Schwartzman is playing amazingly well on grass this season. Even though he didn’t play at any of the grass-court tournaments before Wimbledon9, he has played some great forehands in the Major so far.

He’ll be up against Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics who shocked the tennis world after defeating Jannik Sinner in the first round.
