Max Homa Shuts Down Joel Dahmen on Twitter; Reveals His Noble Efforts To Fight Cancer

Max Homa is known for his social media wittiness. He constantly engages with his fans and colleagues on different platforms, especially Twitter. Homa is probably the most active player who interacts with his fans and likes to update them on everything he does on social media. Max is currently 42nd, according to OWGR.

But it’s not always sweet, as sometimes he even faces the heat from multiple fans and players. And this time, it was Joel Dahmen, a PGA Tour player who trolled Max with a tweet.

What did Joel Dahmen say?

Joel Dahmen tweeted out a post of his fan who had a tattoo saying #EndCancer. Dahmen then posed a question to Homa and mentioned that even the PIP Fund cannot buy him fans like this. The PIP Fund is a $40 million bonus prize money.

And most probably, Max Homa is one player from those top 10 because of his social media popularity. Keeping that in mind, Joel Dahmen took a dig at Homa, to which he replied in a terrific manner.

The two-time PGA Tour champion revealed his efforts in helping to end cancer. Homa is donating to St. Jude for every birdie that he makes. St. Jude is a hospital that identifies and defeats childhood cancer.

What tournament are Joel Dahmen and Max Homa playing right now?

Joel Dahmen is a cancer survivor himself. He came to know about this deadly disease in 2011. Dahmen underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and is back on the PGA Tour fit and healthy. Joel is currently playing at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic and is T28 after round 2. He remained four-under for the tournament and is four strokes behind the lead.

On the other hand, Max Homa had a wonderful start to the tournament. He is currently T3 after round 2 and is just a stroke behind the leader. He had a phenomenal second round where he made four consecutive bogeys from the 15th to 18th hole. The 31-year-old remained bogey-free for the round and has got himself in contention to lift the trophy.
