Will Joel Embiid & Trae Young Play Tonight? Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks Game 7: Prediction, Injuries & Lineups

The Philadelphia 76ers host the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 8:00 PM EST for game 7 in the Wells Fargo Center. A win for either team will be set to make an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Philadelphia 76ers were clear favorites against the Hawks with a stacked roster. When superstars like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the 76ers looked set for success. But that clearly hasn’t been the case against the Hawks.

After having a meltdown in two consecutive games, the 76ers fell two a 3-2 deficit in the series. With their backs against the wall, Philly had to make a comeback. Embiid and Co. certainly did the same as the Cameroonian alongside sharpshooter Seth Curry and Tobias Harris combined for a whopping 70 points of the game.

Rookie Tyrese Maxey also chipped in with 16 points to force a game 7 with a 104-99 victory. The 76ers certainly do not lack talent but they have shown multiple times that they can lose their way in the game easily especially in the second half.

The Atlanta Hawks have been one of the biggest surprise packages in the playoffs. After going down 2-1 in the series, the Hawks stormed back to take two incredible comeback victories and took a 3-2 lead in the series.

Playing in game 6 in Atlanta, the Hawks had the perfect opportunity to close out the series. But the Hawks’ looked sluggish on both ends of the floor as role players like Bogdan Bogdanovic and John Collins failed to step up and lost the game 104-99. Can the Hawks complete an upset over the 76ers?

Predictions

This series between the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers has been a slugfest so far. With the series tied at 3-3, this matchup is a must-watch. While the Hawks have been impressive so far, the Sixers certainly have the edge in this matchup with impeccable star power and home court advantage. But if Trae Young can push all the right buttons, a Hawks win won’t be big surprise.
