Radley's Origin hopes dashed by huge ban

Roosters star Victor Radley's hopes of a NSW State of Origin debut have been dashed by a looming four-to six-week ban.

Radley copped two charges from the match review committee after being cited four times in the Roosters' loss to Brisbane on Saturday, in which he was twice sin-binned.

The incidents for which he was sent from the field for 10 minutes, a hit on five-eighth Albert Kelly and a high tackle on Tevita Pangai Jr, have brought the pair of charges.

Radley will cop a one-game ban for the hit on Kelly during a kick, which was deemed grade one dangerous contact head/neck. He will get a three-match ban for the tackle on Pangai, which was deemed a grade two careless high tackle, with an early guilty plea.

The high tackle would be a four-match ban if Radley fights the charge at the judiciary and loses. If he fights both charges and loses, the penalty points add up to a six-game ban.

Fellow Roosters forward Angus Crichton is facing a two-game ban for dangerous contact on Kelly, irrespective of plea.
