Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit atop the NFC South Division table after six weeks. They are on a 4-2 record and look in prime position to make the NFL playoffs this season. Brady, in particular, has had a memorable start to his tenure in Florida with the Buccaneers.
After an opening day loss, he led the Bucs to three-straight wins in the league before losing to Nick Foles-led Chicago Bears by a 20-19 scoreline in Week Five. Brady faced huge criticism after he just walked off the pitch without shaking hands with counterpart Nick Foles that weekend.
However, the six-time Super Bowl winner jogged towards Aaron Rodgers last weekend after beating the Green Bay Packers by a mammoth 38-10 scoreline. This led to critics claiming that Tom Brady was indeed a ‘sore loser’.

🤔 Tom Brady on NOT shaking Nick Foles hand again a few weeks ago
"I don't know one reason or another why I wouldn't do that. Sometimes I run off the field, sometimes I haven't… I didn't even think about that… Nick Foles is a hell of a player and a Super Bowl champ”@6abc pic.twitter.com/a3HoVPSHuU

After receiving a lot of flak on social media in recent weeks, Brady finally gave his perspective behind the whole incident. Here’s what the veteran NFL quarterback said while talking to media personnel earlier this week.
He said, “I didn’t even think about that. I think Nick Foles is a hell of a player and a Super Bowl champion. I don’t know one reason or another why I wouldn’t do that, but I don’t know. Sometimes I’ve run off the field [and] sometimes I haven’t.”
“Sometimes if I have a personal relationship like I do with Drew [Brees], Justin [Herbert] and Aaron [Rodgers] over the years – I don’t think it’s anything in particular, other than I have great admiration for Nick. He’s a hell of a player and they’re off to a great start,” Brady said via Bucswire.
Bruce Arians’ Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the in-form Las Vegas Raiders in Week Seven. The Raiders had a bye in Week Six. Prior to that, Derek Carr helped his team defeat Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs in Week Five.
Jon Gruden’s boys will definitely pose a strong threat to Brady’s Buccaneers at the Allegiant Stadium on Sunday. Let’s hope that ‘Tampa Brady’ remembers to shake Carr’s hand after the game, though.
