Chase Briscoe and Noah Gragson Lock Out the NASCAR Xfinity Front Row at Talladega

On Sunday night, the NASCAR Xfinity grid will race at the Talladega Superspeedway. As has been the case this year, the sport will apply its formula to decide the grid for the showdown. As a result, Chase Briscoe will start on pole position, with Noah Gragson alongside him on the front row.

Meanwhile, Austin Cindric starts 3rd, ahead of Justin Allgaier. The Top-3 are locked in a massive dogfight in the Playoffs, so this race is extremely important for them. It is also worth noting that Daniel Hemric and Anthony Alfredo line up in 5th and 6th, even though they are not in the playoff fight.

The rest of the playoff drivers are Ryan Sieg, Justin Haley, Michael Annett, and Brandon Jones in the Top-10. In addition to that, Harrison Burton, Riley Herbst, Ross Chastain, and Brandon Brown complete the playoff runners.

Can Chase Briscoe get his second consecutive win?

Chastain, Annett, Brown, and Herbst are the most vulnerable out of the 12 drivers. However, Burton, Sieg, Jones, and Haley are not completely out of the woods just yet.

Talladega heralds the second race in the opening round of the Playoffs, so the pressure is well and truly on. Chase Briscoe has practically sealed his berth with a win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Now the race is on to stop him from grabbing a second win on the trot.

It is also worth noting that the last time the Xfinity grid visited Talladega, Justin Haley walked away, a very happy man. He won the last race at the track and should be one of the favorites to win again and seize his berth.

On the other end of the scale, the conditions for this Sunday’s race will be far different from June’s race. This is the first time that the Xfinity drivers have raced at Talladega twice.

So the only question is, can Justin Haley repeat the feat, or will Chase Briscoe triumph? Or are we in for a surprise?
