On a single day two of the biggest names in the football world - Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi - both scored cracking goals, but it was the Argentinian who made history.
Messi joined Ronaldo as the only two active players to have scored 700 career goals, and he became just the seventh footballer in history to do so.
Ronaldo scored his 728th goal today for Juventus in sensational style, with an absolute thunderbolt in his team's 3-1 win over Genoa in Serie A.
Messi meanwhile joined the 700-club with a cheeky panenka penalty kick in Barcelona's 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid.
Interestingly both Messi and Ronaldo reached the 700-mark with a penalty, but Messi did so in much fewer games (862) than Ronaldo (974).
Ronaldo also had 121 of those goals scored from the penalty spot, whereas Messi had just 89.
And Messi at 33, is two years young than Ronaldo.
Josef Bican (805 goals), Romario (772), Pelé (767), Ferenc Puskas (746), and Gerd Muller (735) are the only other footballers to have ever reached 700 or more career goals.
