Counter Strike Global Offensive ranks among the most popular games across the globe. In recent years, there has been some speculation flying around that the game’s popularity is on the wane. One look at the numbers, however, and that suspicion immediately becomes invalid with a reported 500,000 daily visitors in February. And given the current coronavirus situation, the number is increasing every passing day.
Counter Strike Global Offensive stuttering issues
The one issue that has bugged the Counter Strike Global Offensive community recently, is the in-game stuttering. A lot of users have experienced this since the February updates. In many cases, the sudden and sharp drop in FPS made it near impossible to play the game.
The widely reported issue had no connection to low-end hardware. However, there was one common factor in the reported issues, which was NVIDIA users.
Many professional players like Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Jake “Stewie2K” Yip were left frustrated with the issue as well.

Valve is working on a patch
Naturally, it is vital that the developers, Valve, provide the best possible experience to the users. Many new users are casual gamers, and if Valve wants to keep hold of them, they need to fix these issues.
Fortunately, Valve is already in the process of doing just that. Here is what Valve announced in a recent statement.
“A build with a fix for some stuttering affecting NVIDIA users is now available in the CS:GO beta depot.”
They have released the patch in beta version, which is a way for them to test the waters. Should it work out well in beta, they will release it to the public.
The Counter Strike Global Offensive beta depot enables the developers to gauge how the changes are working out, by interacting with certain users.
Valve also stated that they will continue to look for other sources of the stuttering.
NVIDIA users can breathe easy knowing Valve is optimistic about the update. They will soon get to enjoy a bug-free experience.
