In September 2018, a fight between Darren Till and Tyron Woodley headlined the UFC 228 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Till was aiming to become the second British UFC Champion. However, Woodley’s crafty submission move denied him of it. Woodley was dominating the fight as it went into the second round. He forced a tap out from Till with 41 seconds left in the second round with a d’arce choke.
Immediately after tapping out to Woodley, Till got up and shook Woodley’s hand in acknowledgment of his loss.
“Tyron was the better man. I’m gutted. I’ll be back stronger,” Till said after the fight. “It just really, really hurts.”

Woodley was coming into the fight after a break of 14 months. He did not, however, sho any signs of it as he managed an impressive win.
“He’s a tough kid,” Woodley said of Till after the fight. “My coach told me I’ve got to be ready to go all the way in. I was just taking my time – I saw he wasn’t going away easy and took my time to get the job done.
“This feels pretty awesome. I don’t believe in ring rust, but I’ve been away for 14 months.”
Tyron Woodley is set to fight Leon Edwards
Currently the top-ranked Welterweight fighter in UFC, Woodley is scheduled to fight Leon Edwards at UFC’s Fight Night 171. It is scheduled for March 22 at the O2 arena in London.

The event also features a fight between Danny Roberts and Nicolas Dalby.
