I Former World No.3 Juan Martin Del Potro is enduring with challenging times with injuries from the past 9 months. The injury-prone Argentine is currently recovering from knee surgery. Del Potro is indefinite about his comeback to the tour. However, he still has the motivation to play tennis even though it is costing him.
Since 2010 Del Potro has missed almost four years of his career, undergoing four wrist surgeries and now two surgeries on his right knee. He has been able to play for only small periods after he was healthy enough to take the court.
It takes a mountainous task to readjust the wrist over and over again and come back to the tour after long hauls. However, every time Del Potro was successful in making himself fit to withstand the stress on the tennis your.

The Argentinian has not competed since fracturing his kneecap at the Fever-Tree Championships in June 2019. It was hoped that he would be ready for the start of the 2020 season. However, it is now uncertain when the US Open 2009 champion will return to court.
“Throughout my career, injuries have been the most difficult games I have ever had to deal with. I want to continue playing, but the reality is that it costs me a lot,” Del Potro said during live Instagram chat with former NBA star Manu Ginobili.
Potro explained that the injuries are frustrating as his last knee injury occurred when he was world number three. He was also getting closer to catching up with Rafael Nadal and everyone. However, he suffered a setback while he was aiming to reach the top.
“The doctors are optimistic, they say that I am fine. However, when day after day things do not go as planned, it gets complicated. There are many things that can then pollute the mind,” Del Potro divulged.

Del Potro is currently self-quarantined at his home in Argentina during the coronavirus outbreak. He revealed that he has a mini office and has training routines. “I don’t put my arms down because I want to play again,” the 31-year-old concluded.
The Tower of Tandil has successfully returned from injury before. He has clinched the ATP Comeback Player of the Year award in 2011 and 2016. He certainly has the ability to fight setbacks and come back at the top.
