Steve Cunningham, a former two-time world cruiserweight champion, has now included himself to the Tyson Fury gloves debate, ongoing internet scrutiny since Deontay Wilder was defeated.
Not even a month has passed by when Fury stopped Wilder than he finds himself surrounded by questions, mostly from YouTubers, regarding his December 2018 match with Wilder.
An increasing number of statements and videos have come forward stating that Fury had probably tampered with his gloves.
A shifting image and videos of Fury-Wilder match are being circulated showing Fury’s gloves flapping as he throws leather towards Wilder.
I thought people were playing talking about the gloves …but then I watched the video ….yes this is the FIRST FIGHT but who’s gloves bend back like this ….mines never and I’ve been boxin since 1996. pic.twitter.com/dBBCmQOt73

Many from the boxing circle have pitched on their opinion on this debate, most notably, being Steve Cunningham.
“I thought people were playing talking about the gloves. But then I watched the video,” Cunningham said.
He continues saying, “Yes, this is the FIRST FIGHT but whose gloves bend back like this? Mine have never and I’ve been boxing since 1996.”
A twitter user jumped in on the conversation replying with a gif image of Fury sparring with the same technique.

The ‘USS’ seemed confident of his analysis saying further that, “If you believe his hand is in that glove all the way, something’s wrong with you.”
“His knuckles are in the wrist part of the glove, see where the wrist connects, on the chin, cause that’s where the knuckles are,” he further pointed out.
“The padded part of the glove hits his shoulders and bounces.”
Fans continued to argue on social media some saying about his poor technique while some of Fury’s untoward action.
The fact that debate continues to go on is ridiculous given that boxing commission supervises such high-profile fights looking at fighter’s wrapping method and their actions during the fight.
Steve Cunningham was the hardest fight ever – Tyson Fury
Cunningham jumped on this debate not long after Fury revealed that he was the hardest fight he ever encountered.
“Believe it or not, this is going to sound strange, Cunningham was the hardest fight I ever did have in my whole career, amateur or professional.”
Fury revealed this on the Joe Rogan podcast.
“I’ve been in fights where it’s been total wars for as long as the fight lasted, ie the Steve Cunningham fight in 2013.”
“The reason being he was very slippery, I couldn’t pin him down. He was light on his feet, weighing 208lbs, he was a cruiserweight champion and he stepped up into heavyweights,” Fury added.
“He was a slick, talented boxer and I tried to walk him down, use my size and power, but he was just outboxing me.”
