Back in the mid 1980s, a nomadic 24-year-old ball-playing forward moved to England to hone his skills and gain the confidence to become a regular first grader.
Gavin Miller went on to return to the NRL and become a modern-day great, a dual Dally M winner and Cronulla Sharks legend.
Nearly four decades later, 24-year-old Billy Magoulias appears to be following in Miller's footsteps.

A similar clever ball-player and sometimes member of the Sharks' top side, Magoulias has moved to English club Warrington in a bid to further his rugby league talents.
Unable to secure a contract in the NRL, Magoulias is hoping the Wolves will give him the opportunity to realise his undoubted potential.
"I've had a bit of a frustrating time the last couple of years," Magoulias, who famously won Newtown the 2019 NSW Cup grand final over Wentworthville in extra time, then the NRL State Championship a week later, told Wide World of Sports.
"I was 18th man a lot and got a few chances but couldn't cement a regular place in the team.
"Then my managers had a few nibbles from NRL clubs for next season - the Tigers showed some interest and Canberra all but agreed before backflipping.
"Then the opportunity came up with Warrington and I thought it might be just what I need.
"They are a strong club in Super League and I've been very impressed with what I've seen and heard about them."
Magoulias has already played international football - representing Greece in the 2021 World Cup qualifiers.
His destiny is now in his hands.
"I've signed for 12 months with a 12 month option and will give it my all," he said.
