Formula One will visit the Losail International Circuit in Qatar for the first time next week. The sport will hold its first-ever Qatar GP to conclude its final triple-header of the season. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton mentioned that he is looking forward to racing in the country.
The race would be the first of three consecutive races in the middle east to finish off the 2021 season. Hamilton wished the fans well and stated that he hopes to see them at the track.

Lewis Hamilton excited to visit for the Qatar GP
Hamilton was promoting the Mercedes brand prior to the Qatar GP. He also mentioned that the first-ever race in the country would be a unique event for everyone.

“Asalam Walekum Qatar! I hope everyone is well and I’m looking forward to the Qatar Grand Prix and hope to see you at the track soon. Join us for a unique experience at the Losail International Circuit for the first-ever Grand Prix in Qatar. See you there,” said Hamilton in his message to the F1 fans in Qatar.
F1 boss Stefano Domenicali also stated that it delighted him to welcome the Qatar GP to the 2021 calendar. He also mentioned that there will be a long-term deal from 20.23 with the circuit.
“We are very pleased to welcome Qatar to the Formula 1 calendar this season and for the longer term, from 2023. We have shown that we can continue to adapt and there is huge interest in our sport and the hope from many locations to have a Grand Prix.
“The huge effort from all the teams, F1 and the FIA has made it possible to deliver a 22-race calendar, something that is very impressive during a challenging year and something we can all be proud of,” said the F1 boss.
It would be fascinating to see the circuit for the first time in F1. The race could also prove to be critical in terms of the championship, as the initial look of the track suggests it might favor Mercedes. Hopefully, the race delivers on its promise as the circuit and the Grand Prix heads for a long-term deal with F1.
