Veteran professional Wrestler and WWE Hall Famer Arn Anderson shed light on the woman who inspired Goldberg. The legendary wrestler stated that this grizzled veteran of the ring not only produced iconic moments, but was also extremely strong. Arn stated that fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Tully Blanchard’s sidekick, Nickla Ann Roberts-Byrd aka Baby Doll may have inspired Goldberg.
He also stated that Baby Doll wasn’t an ordinary wrestler, as she possessed inhuman strength. Back in the day, it was Baby Doll who first coined the catchphrase ‘You’re next,’ which became a staple for Goldberg.

Baby Doll may have laid the foundation for the legendary modern-day wrestler of WWE
Arn shed more light on his claims, which suggest Baby Doll may have played a key role in the creation of WWE’s biggest superstar, Goldberg. According to a report by Sportskeeda, Arn talked about the olden days of WWE and how Baby Doll used to carry Tully on her back and take him around for a spin in Atlanta Airport.
“You know, it’s funny that we all steal from each other. Different generations steal from each other and promo lines. Baby Doll was really, probably tough. I know she was strong as hell, that I did know. She used to ride Tully piggyback down to Atlanta airport on her back, you know, once or twice I saw that. Yes, she rode Tully piggyback, you know. They were just goofing around,” said Arn Anderson.
He also shed light on a rumored incident where Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll were attacked by a knife-bearing miscreant. Word around the community suggests that Baby Doll grabbed the knife blade first and snatched it from the attacker’s hand. In doing so, she not only saved Tully but other people from being injured. This grizzled veteran of the ring could have very well inspired modern-day Goldberg, as her feats of impressive strength are just remarkable.
