Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has been out of action for quite a while. Over the past couple of seasons, the Swiss ace has barely played any tennis due to his recurring knee injury. In that duration, he’s had three surgeries on that knee, the latest coming after Wimbledon this year.
Recently, the eight-time Wimbledon champion, Roger Federer was talking about the current ATP Finals going on in Turin. He felt that his rival, Novak Djokovic, has the best possible chance of going the distance.
Roger Federer hails the Serb for his performances during the past week
Judging from the manner in which the Serb has been playing over the past couple of weeks, he seems to be over the disappointment of the US Open final loss.
Taking note of it, the 40-year-old 20-time Grand Slam winner stated, “Novak is the favorite to win here in Turin. He looks in good shape and focused, he is going to be a problem for Zverev.” The experience that the Serb has is much greater than that of Medvedev or Zverev.

However, Daniil and Alexander have been the only players that have managed to beat Djokovic in some of the important events this season. Medvedev beat him at the US Open final and Zverev beat him enroute to claiming the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
Having said that, Nole will most certainly be the favorite in his semi-final clash against Zverev, which kicks off in a short while. In the final, Medvedev awaits the winner of this encounter. If Federer’s prediction is right and Djokovic ends up going all the way, he will match the Swiss star’s record for the most ATP Finals events won.
