Phil Mickelson recently won the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the PGA Tour Champions. Moreover, with his fourth victory in six starts, he has now equaled the record with Jack Nicklaus. However, since he mostly competed on the PGA Tour, he couldn’t compete in many events on the Champions Tour. Hence, Mickelson failed to win the Schwab Cup title even after winning three events this season.
Notably, German golfer Bernhard Langer won the Schwab Cup title, thanks to his consistent performance throughout the season. However, Jim Furyk gave him a tough fight but sadly ended up just a few points short. The 64-year-old Langer won his sixth Schwab Cup title in his Champions Tour career.

Phil Mickelson has had an incredible run at the Champions Tour this season. He has won four events in just six starts and has equaled the record for the fastest four-wins on the Senior Tour. Moreover, along with wins, he made some incredible gains in the earnings list as well.
Not to forget, on the Champions Tour, earnings are converted into points. Hence, Phil finished 12th in the Schwab Cup standings even after playing only six events.
