‘I Love You’: Coach K Reveals His Admiration for Brooks Koepka

This week, in Las Vegas, a sold-out T-Mobile Arena arena witnessed a nail-biting encounter between the Duke Blue Devils and the Gonzaga Bulldogs. In a crowd of over 20,000 that cheered wholeheartedly were Brooks Koepka and Floyd Mayweather, seated at courtside. The PGA Tour star’s presence at the game did not go unnoticed, his photos garnering attention online.

Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) was particularly glad to see Koepka, who seemed excited to meet him and the team. Let’s take a look at what the coach had to say at the game, which Duke won with an 84-81 score.

Here’s what Coach K had to say about Brooks Koepka

In a video shared by the Duke Men’s Basketball’s Twitter account, Krzyzewski greets Koepka, letting the PGA Tour icon know how much he is loved. “You don’t know, but I love you,” Krzyzewski said in the clip, admitting to supporting him. “No, I do, and I was cheering for you, and I thought you handled yourself well”.

Everyone even posed for photos in the video, which were also shared by the official account later on.

Koepka also met the team, which was another celebration in itself. “What’s going on boys,” Koepka asked when he entered, later praising their game while letting them know it was really fun to watch. Everyone even introduced themselves to Koepka, and 20-year-old Jeremy Roach even asked him if he could teach him to swing. The four-time major winner joked around, telling them that he himself has to figure it out first.
Koepka himself reacted on Twitter. “Best way to top the day with Coach K,” he wrote, adding goat emoji in the end.

Fans were filled with joy

Fans also seemed to love the interaction. Many were happy to see one of their favorite golfers with a coaching legend, who has led Duke to five NCAA Division one championship.
Koepka himself was last at The Match, where the 31-year-old beat rival Bryson DeChambeau. He last played the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Houston Open, where he, unfortunately, missed the cut.
As per his schedule, Koepka is supposed to play the Hero World Challenge. The event is scheduled for December 2 at the Albany Golf Club, and will be hosted by Tiger Woods.
