The Russian-born Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev will take on the UFC middleweight Jack Hermansson. However, this time around, it won’t be inside the octagon. The UFC fighters will clash against each other in a freestyle wrestling match at Bulldog Fight Night on November 19 in Gothenburg.
‘The Joker’ posted the news on his official Instagram account with information about the pay-per-view in the caption. He wrote, “The wrestling match will be available worldwide on pay-per-view! The Russian-born Swedish fighter is undefeated in his professional fighting career. After a long hiatus from fighting, Chimaev returned to the octagon and won the fighting in stunning fashion at UFC 267.
It was his fourth straight win in the UFC. Following his dominant first-round finish, many fans wanted to see him fight again as soon as possible and now their wish will be fulfilled.
Meanwhile, ‘The Joker is currently #6 in the middleweight division at UFC. Hermansson (22-6) is fresh from his recent win against Edmen Shahbazyan. He will look to keep his column green against Chimaev.
However, it won’t be an easy task for the middleweight to face the Russian-born. But he has faced many prominent names in the UFC before. Hence, his match against Chimaev would be a treat to watch.
Khamzat Chimaev Is Here to Kill Everybody
The 27-year-old Khamzat Chimaev has an impressive professional fighting record of 10-0 under his name. He has finished all his opponents, six via knockout and four via submission.
From his four UFC wins, Chimaev has finished three opponents in the very first round of the bout. He is on a rampage now and doesn’t want to stop. The Swedish fighter will take on whoever the promotion provides next.
In the post-fight octagon interview, Chimaev roared and claimed to kill every fighter in the division when asked about his next opponent. He said, “Everybody. Everybody. I am coming for everybody. And I kill everybody. I am the champ.”
The 27-year-old has landed a number of 254 significant strikes, while he only took 1 in all of his previous four fights in the UFC. He is surely one of the rising stars of the UFC. and is garnering a lot of attention worldwide for his unique fighting style and killer mentality.
