WATCH: Caroline Wozniacki Makes an Incredible Return to Tennis Court After Retirement

Fans were heartbroken when Caroline Wozniacki took retirement from tennis at the age of just 29. She played her last tennis match at the Australian Open 2020 and decided to bid goodbye to the sport after losing in the third round.

Former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki won the Australian Open 2018 title, which remains her only Grand Slam title to date. Besides this, she also won the WTA Finals in 2017.

Caroline Wozniacki returns to the court once again

Interestingly, Wozniacki decided to return to the court once again. In a video that she uploaded on her Twitter handle, one can see her smash some forehands and backhands. The Danish former player still looks in great touch.

“Back at it! Will probably be sore tomorrow,” tweeted Wozniacki. 

Jokingly, Wozniacki implied that she was back in practice after so long that she’ll probably be sore the next day. Either way, fans are really happy to catch a glimpse of the Danish star.

Wozniacki will play her farewell match against Angelique Kerber

To properly bid goodbye to the sport, Wozniacki decided to step on the court one last time for her fans. Earlier, it was planned to be against Serena Williams but now, her last match will take place against her good friend and 3-time Grand Slam champion, Angelique Kerber.

The match will take place on February 9, 2022 in Copenhagen. Thus, with this, fans will finally get to say an official goodbye to Wozniacki.
