“Steal Smelly Old Tennis Shoes”: Andy Murray Received Foot Massage After Losing His Shoes and Wedding Ring at Indian Wells 2021

As much as an intense competitor Andy Murray is on-court, the Brit is also known for his relaxed, witty demeanor off the court. Even though he rarely brings that side out to the public, it’s always fun to witness Murray sharing information related to his personal life.

On October 7th, the former world no.1 posted a video where he claimed to have lost two pairs of shoes that he kept underneath his car as they were smelly after a heavy practice session.

In one of the most funnier moments this year on tour, Murray revealed in the clip that he usually ties his wedding ring to his shoes and along with his shoes, the wedding ring also got stolen.

The video immediately gathered attention as people shared their hilarious reactions for the Brit. Moments ago, the official twitter page of ATP tour also posted a series of photos where the ring survived.

Even though there is still no information on who stole Andy’s wedding ring and his two pairs of tennis shoes, Tennis Channel gave him a pleasant surprise ahead of their interview.

I don’t know what I’m going to do because the shoes that I wear, they don’t sell them. In hindsight, it was an error, but I really don’t know why anyone would want to steal smelly old tennis shoes”, Murray told Tennis Channel.

The three-time major champion attended the interview on a pair of slippers before a foot massager was placed by a ball kid. Murray said, “This is good”.

Murray faces Adrian Mannarino in the first-round of BNP Paribas Open

While we hope that Andy Murray’s shoes will be returned as soon as possible along with his wedding ring, the Brit faces a tough challenge in the form of Adrian Mannarino in the first-round at Indian Wells on Friday.

The duo faced each other twice on the ATP tour before. But, both these encounters came way back in 2015. However, Murray won both the matches against the Frenchman.

If Andy gets past Mannarino, he will have to beat the Spanish youngster Carlos Alcaraz to reach the third-round at Indian Wells Masters. As tough as a matchup that can be, fans can expect the Brit to play his best tennis like he has been doing over the past few weeks.
