Caddies are an integral part of golf. They carry the bag, give clubs, and even suggest a few things at times if needed. Hence, they deserve to get a considerable amount of money for all this. So every caddie has a different pay structure. And recently, Bryson DeChambeau revealed the pay structure for his caddie. 

Bryson DeChambeau recently hired a new caddie, Brian Zeigler, as he parted ways with his longtime caddie Tim Tucker. But how much does Bryson DeChambeau pays his caddie? Let’s find out.

Bryson DeChambeau was recently asked about the pay structure of his caddie. “So, depending on how you place like if you make the cut or if you miss the cut, you’re still paying a flat, flat rate,” said Bryson. “If you make the cut, finish top, I think my structures like 20 or something like that. You make a certain percentage.”

“And then it gets amped up. When I finish top 10, and then when I win, it’s 10%. Yeah, so if you win the FedEx thing, you win around 15 million, so they get 1.5 million. Yeah, they get one and a half million dollars.”

However, caddying, especially on the PGA Tour, isn’t a cakewalk. They need to be calm and composed to make sure that the player doesn’t feel the pressure even after hitting a bad shot. He needs to give accurate advice whenever asked, as one wrong decision can ruin the whole event.

Furthermore, apart from the on-course challenges, there are a few off-course challenges as well. As a player is most of the time with his caddie, traveling around the world playing at different events. And as Bryson said, “It’s like being married. It’s really like being married.”
