Joey Leilua's time at the West Tigers is over after the joint-venture club handed the star one of the biggest pay cuts in league history.
Wests Tigers elected against activating a contract extension for 2022 for Leilua – who was once on a $850,000 a season contract – and offered a train and trial deal worth just $1000 a week.
After tax, the hulking centre would take home about $600 a week which equates to a pay cut of more than $800,000 a season.
The offer has been viewed as a slap in the face by the centre who was once touted as a possible Origin centre after playing a role in the Raiders run to the 2019 grand final.
Leilua will reject Wests Tigers' offer and seek to resume his career either playing the the Super League or rugby union in America, according to News Corp.

Leilua, 29, managed to secure a contract worth around $850,000 a season during his time at Canberra but failed to show the type of form that warranted that type of money at Concord.
Leilua's reduction in salary falls in line with former Titan Ash Taylor, who was dealt a similar blow last week when he joined the Warriors on a train and trial, after earning $1 million a season under his old deal with Gold Coast.
