Denny Hamlin Congratulates eNASCAR Champ & 23XI Racing Driver Keegan Leahy

Earlier this weekend, NASCAR played host to the eNASCAR championship. To the delight of Denny Hamlin and the 23XI Racing team, Keegan Leahy seized victory. The driver managed to outdrive the Championship 4 field at the virtual Texas Motor Speedway to win.

Leahy wrote on Twitter, “I have no idea how to process this. It was a long, long time coming. Matt Bontempi was there from the start and spotted me to this win. So much preparation from my Coanda Simsport teammates and so glad to be able to represent 23XIRacing and Virtual Racing School as a eNASCAR Champion!!”

It is worth noting that this is his maiden eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series championship. The best part is that he triumphed in a thrilling finish at Texas and thoroughly deserved the title. As a bonus, he bagged a total purse of more than $300,000 for the season, as well as the champion’s share of $100,000.

Obviously, Hamlin was delighted to see Leahy take the chequered flag. To make matters even better for Hamlin, his other 23XI Racing driver is a champion in his maiden season. Aside from Leahy, other rookie champions include teammate Mitchell deJong. They join the likes of William Byron eSports’ Logan Clampitt, and Letarte Esports’ Bobby Zalenski,

On an interesting note, this is the first time that the Texas Motor Speedway has been included in the competition. Needless to say, the contenders certainly gave the track the perfect initiation ceremony, especially the Championship 4 rivals. It was already shaping up to be a great day for 23XI Racing, with deJong and Leahy on the front row.

When the race kicked off the two fo them held onto the top two spots right through the first set of green flag pit stops. Later on, Leahy bided his time until he got a run on deJong down the backstretch. From there, he took over the lead for the first time on Lap 92 and the rest was history.
