Whistling Straits has provided a spectacular backdrop to this year’s delayed event. Now, with the completion of the event, and with Team USA winning it, the focus shifts to the next edition of this event. The next Ryder Cup will be played at a European venue, Marco Simone Golf, and Country Club, in Rome, Italy, in 2023 from September 29 to October 1.

Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, representatives from the PGA of America and European Tour recognized both venues in a traditional handover ceremony. This ceremony took place on the 17th hole of the Whistling Straits, which successfully conducted this biennial event.

Furthermore, the dignitaries presented the silver Putter, adorned with 24 silver golf balls. These silver golf balls represent the 24 players from both teams. They presented it to the CEO of Marco Simone Golf Club and General Director of the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Meanwhile, the silver putter symbolizes the passing of the baton from venue to venue. Hence, they have passed the baton now to the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome. This venue is all set to become the 39th different venue to host this biennial event and only third in continental Europe after Valderrama, Spain, in 1997 and Le Golf National, France, in 2018.
