The Cleveland Browns rocked a throwback jersey to celebrate their 75th anniversary during their game against the Chicago Bears. However, that wasn’t the only reason to celebrate. After eleven long months, Odell Beckham Jr is back in the NFL. He marked his return with a decent performance, and former Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James welcomed him back.
LeBron James welcomes Odell Beckham Jr back to the NFL
After suffering a torn ACL, OBJ did not play for eleven months, a tenure during which the Browns suffered a playoffs defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs. His season ended with some impressive stats, but his teammates severely felt his absence. But now, OBJ is back, and he’s good to go.

OBJ marked his return to the gridiron by catching a Baker Mayfield throw and registering a first down for the Browns. While we didn’t witness any showstoppers, OBJ performed at an excellent rate, covering 77 yards. In the end, the Browns picked up a monumental win, thanks to quarterback Baker Mayfield, kicker Chase McLaughlin and Myles Garrett.
OBJ’s return for the Cleveland Browns sparked the attention of former Cleveland Cavaliers star, LeBron James. The current Laker congratulated his friend on a successful return, sharing the clip of OBJ‘s first down. He wrote, “Welcome back my brother! Proud of you!!”
Both LeBron and OBJ are icons in Cleveland, but only one of them has won a trophy for the city. Can Odell Beckham Jr emulate King James and bring the Lombardi Trophy to Cleveland, or will the city rely on LeBron’s honors for a little longer?

What’s next for OBJ and the Browns?
After the Bears rout, Cleveland Browns head to US Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings. With a 2-1 record so far, the Browns will look to improve on it in the coming week. But the Vikings won’t be an easy fixture, especially with a scintillating performance against the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins scored three touchdowns and covered 323 yard, outclassing Russell Wilson. The Seahawks squawked their way through the match, while the Vikings lived up to their name. Their star man Tyler Lockett looked shaky and reportedly avoided serious injury after an awkward tackle. He is one of two players who got injured, including Jordyn Brooks, who had to be carted off.
Coming back to the Browns, they will face a stiff battle from the Vikings, who will look to gain significant momentum. But can OBJ, Baker Mayfield and Co continue their dominance this NFL season by destroying the Vikings?
