Michael Jordan Reveals the One Golfer He’s Scared to Play Against

We all know how much Michael Jordan loves to play and watch golf. And the NBA legend was recently at Whistling Straits, cheering for the Americans at the Ryder Cup 2020. Meanwhile, Team USA had a comprehensive one-sided victory this year at the Ryder Cup. They won the event with a score of 19-9, which is the highest margin of triumph in the modern era.

Moreover, this time, Michael Jordan was accompanied by another prominent NBA player, Steph Curry. The two players had a conversation on camera, where Steph interviewed MJ and asked him some questions.

“I’m not scared of anybody but Ian Poulter,” says Michael Jordan

Steph Curry asked Jordan who on the European team would he be scared to play against. But then immediately apologized for using the word “scared.” “I’m not scared of anybody but Ian Poulter,” said Jordan. MJ was there on the greenside in 2012 when the Europeans overcame a 10-4 deficit, including Poulter making five birdies on the final five holes.

Furthermore, he remembered this match and said, “We went from definitely winning in Medinah to crying and driving home that we just got our butts kicked.”

Moreover, Michael Jordan, who was at the Whistling Straits, attending his 12th Ryder Cup, continued. I tried to, you know; I used to go and watch him all the time. If I’m in any of his matches and walking down. He finds me after he makes a good putt. And it’s like, man, I didn’t do anything. I like you, and I support you. I stay away from him when he’s walking, when I’m walking, I won’t go watch him.” Hence, Jordan doesn’t fancy playing and watching Ian Poulter.

Meanwhile, Ian Poulter had a mediocre week at the Ryder Cup. He managed to secure only one point for Team Europe by keeping his unbeaten streak in the Sunday Singles. However, sadly, he couldn’t deliver his usual Ryder Cup performance in other formats.
