Fans Mock ‘Bond Villain’ Lawrence Stroll’s Appearance at No Time to Die’s Premiere

Lawrence Stroll carries quite the presence in the F1 paddock today. Since leading a consortium of investors to buy the Force India F1 team in 2018, the Canadian billionaire instigated a change in the team’s fortunes with his wealth.

Currently, the team runs as Aston Martin Cognizant F1, with an eye-catching green livery. And where there’s Aston Martin involved, the iconic James Bond character inevitably follows.

Yesterday, the latest installment in the spy film series, titled ‘No Time to Die’, premiered in London. While Stroll attended the premiere, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the 62-year-old’s look.

Fans relate Lawrence Stroll to a Bond villain

The Royal Albert Hall hosted the premiere of the final James Bond movie featuring Daniel Craig as the protagonist. Alongside a red carpet filled with celebrities, Stroll took to the red carpet with his wife, Raquel. The 62-year-old sported a black and white tuxedo, which made him cut an imposing figure.

Along with his silver hair, fans drew comparisons between him and the typical presence of a villain in the Bond movies. While some spoke about his look, others made jokes about him playing the villain in the movie.

Lawrence’s son, Lance Stroll also attended the premiere with his girlfriend Sara Pagliaroli. Other F1 personalities who attended the premiere was George Russell with his girlfriend Carmen Mundt, and Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner with his wife, and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

A fan took to Twitter not just to describe Lawrence Stroll, but the other F1 personalities who attended the premiere as well.

Aston Martin are currently seventh in the constructor’s championship

The British outfit enjoyed an extremely successful season in 2020. Although many tipped them to emulate that success this year, it hasn’t quite gone to plan. After 15 races, Aston Martin scored just 59 points and sit in seventh place in the constructor’s championship.

With seven races to go, Stroll will hope his son, Lance and Sebastian Vettel can bring more points to end the season on a cheerful note. However, this seems easier said than done, especially with the level of competition in the midfield at the moment.
