WWE Legend Criticizes Mick Foley aka Mankind’s Historic Fall Off Hell in a Cell in 1998

WWE is blessed with plenty of iconic matches from the past that fans love to watch in a loop. One such iconic match in WWE was the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mick Foley back in 1998. The bout between these two WWE Legends is still considered one of the best matches of all time in WWE.

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently revealed how the Hell in a Cell match between Taker and Foley completely changed wrestling.

Kevin Nash recently appeared on the 83 week podcast hosted by Eric Bischoff as the WCW Superstar discussed wrestling and chooses his greatest worker of all time. Nash revealed that people always ask him to name the greatest worker of all time, to which Nash would reply by choosing Hulk Hogan.

Nash added working with Hogan meant that he wouldn’t have to tolerate any health issues, as Hogan was considered the safest worker to work with.

However, Kevin added that The Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mick Foley aka Mankind completely changed wrestling. Nash added, “I’ll say it to the day I die. One of the biggest parts of our business that died after the Hell in a Cell was when Mick Foley fell whatever he fell through that table. Because now we took a work and made it a stunt.”

Risking everything on the line

Wrestlers often take a toll on themselves for the fans and for the brand they work for. Former Superstars who are retired from wrestling have revealed how they wrestled every day and night, even hurting their bodies. Iconic names such as Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, and more have revealed their stories about working with pain and how they still suffer from those injuries they had in their career.

Those quotes from Kevin Nash certainly highlight how wrestlers are trying to pull off stunts that can be dangerous to themselves, which were not that common before. Of course, these angles can make or break a superstar’s career. But Wrestler still loves to do these stunts, which certainly brings a wow factor and more eyeballs to the company and his career.
