Recently at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, he made some illogical points for not getting vaccinated. Moreover, his usual dangerous habit of not shouting “FORE” after a wayward shot is often subjected to criticism.
The 26-year-old is one of the best golfers on the PGA Tour. And in his way of becoming the best, he sometimes makes some controversial statements or decisions. But is Bryson a bad guy? Or is he just an unlucky guy who lands himself in trouble every time?

Bryson DeChambeau is a unique character and has completely dedicated his life to becoming the best golfer in the world. And for this particular reason, he sees the game of golf from a different perspective. DeChambeau has scientific thinking about everything that he does and hence is nicknamed “The Scientist.”
But a few people do not appreciate this unorthodox and scientific style of play. And hence, they criticize him for trying to change or challenge the traditional style of play. During the pandemic, when there were no events for around six months, Bryson DeChambeau bulked himself and then tried to overwhelm golf courses with his power game and got criticized in return.
But people need to understand that it’s his way of playing golf. And it is also evident that a power game is only suitable for few courses. So, it is not like he has been dominating since bulking up. He has been decent with his performance but still gets criticized for doing something unorthodox.

However, it is not always people’s fault, as even Bryson makes some illogical statements or decisions. Like, take the absurd comment that he made during the pre-match press conference at WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. Bryson said he doesn’t need the vaccine since he is strong and young. Moreover, DeChambeau said he wants to leave the vaccines for old people and people who aren’t strong enough to cope with the virus.
He got trolled massively on every social media platform. And the consequence of this was that Bryson refused to face the media during the WGC event. But things just don’t seem to be on his side currently, as fans criticized him once again as he didn’t yell “FORE.” Moreover, the feud between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau needs no introduction. And fans have begun bullying him on the course by shouting “Brooksy” after every shot.
So, Bryson is not a bad guy who should get criticized every time. But, yes, sometimes he does make some ridiculous comments or decisions and invites criticism upon himself. However, if DeChambeau can keep a check on what he speaks and the decisions he makes, then the controversies can be reduced slightly, if not completely.
