Tiger Woods’ Backup Putter From 2002 Is on Sale for an Eye-Popping Price

These items are not just limited to one sport but include basketball, football, and even golf. When it comes to golf, it is Tiger Woods who is the center of attraction.

Now, when a signed item used by an athlete is sold, there is some buzz created around it. People and experts try for an estimate, wondering how much will people bid. More often than not, these prices are considered over-the-top which not everyone can afford. The most recent item is a Tiger Woods putter, which everyone believes will be selling for thousands of dollars.

How much will the Tiger Woods backup putter sell for?

With golf, it is usually a Tiger Woods item that draws the most attention. Not only are people interested in what happens, but it also draws in more money. As per reports, Golden Age Auctions currently have a Woods backup putter up for auction. The ‘Scotty Cameron putter’ is from the 2002 season, and would often be one of Woods’ backups that year.

The auction will be going on till August 28, 7:00 PM EST. It is named the “Personal 2002 Scotty Cameron Backup Putter” on the site, with the current bid at $64,843. As per the description, the putter has been in the Middle East, Far East, and Europe for 18+ years, and was suddenly cleared to reach their warehouse. They also consider it one of those sure-shot items that will always be in demand.

This putter was also designed by Scotty Cameron for a prime Tiger Woods. There were only a few backup putters made for Woods, which could mean a high demand for this one. However, this one was used only once in a tournament. They even added that one day, one of Woods backup will sell for $1 million.

Keeping this in mind, there are very few Woods’ putters that are actually on the market. This makes the one up for auction very valuable. Some time ago, a 2001 backup was sold for $154,928.
