40-Year-Old David Haye Shredded for His Boxing Return Against Joe Fournier

Former two-division champion David Haye is set to return after three years against British entrepreneur Joe Fournier on September 11. 48-year-old Fournier is still fresh from his recent win over Robledo Londono, which he claimed in the undercard of Paul vs Askren on April 17.

However, Haye appears confident that ring due to his long inactivity won’t be an issue when it comes to outclassing Fournier. The 40-year-old veteran has also donned his perfect fighting physique. ‘Hayemaker’ posted a picture of his current physique on Twitter and he seems rather content with his build.

Even though he had retired in 2018, Haye has been closely associated with the sport. Hence, he is rightly boasting of his superiority over Fournier. On his Twitter post, Haye wrote, “When you catch your 40 year old reflection looking 30 with the perfect down lighting!”

In a career of 28-4, Haye has scored 26 KO wins, amassing belts at cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. However, the knockout artist suffered two consecutive losses in 2018 before hanging his gloves. As of now, his imminent return will see him join an elite group of veterans getting back into action.

The Triller PPV will have 4-division champion, Oscar De La Hoya, against UFC veteran Vitor Belfort in the main event. Besides, former colleagues Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz will collide in the co-main. There will be two more bouts on the 4-fight card.

David Haye and Joe Fournier will settle the odds in the undercard along with a clash between Andy Vences and Jono Carroll. The event will happen at the Staples Center and will be available live on FITE TV.

Can David Haye vanquish Joe Fournier?

Joe Fournier, the undefeated Brit boxer, is 9-0 and has multi-millions of dollars in his bank account. However, all of it wouldn’t benefit him much against ‘Hayemaker’. Despite a long hiatus, Haye has trained several youngsters and has been in touch with elite fighters like Anthony Joshua. Hence, it’s still a demanding task to surpass David Haye inside the ring.

Nevertheless, both men are heavy hitters and are known for their stoppage wins. So, they cannot afford to overlook each other in the ring. Coming from an RTD win in April, Fournier’s taking on the veteran fighter will clearly be an intriguing step up. So it’s right one of the most talked-about matchups of the time.
