“You Had to Kill Him” – Mike Tyson Details What Made Muhammad Ali so Special

Muhammad Ali redefined the sport of boxing with his extraordinary performances. In the old era, no other boxer was as famous as him. “But listen, Ali got, you had to kill him, he ain’t gonna quit. You had to kill him. He ain’t gonna f***in quit.”

‘Iron’ Mike was greatly inspired by Ali. And every time he made a ring appearance, Tyson tried to pull off blistering performances just like his icon. In fact, Mike Tyson had an even more captivating aura and with his out-of-the-box prowess, the New York boxer hooked in millions of fans.

Furthermore, in 1988, Tyson even avenged Ali’s loss by crucifying Larry Holmes. In this fight, he paid homage to the all-time boxing great by pulling off a magnetic T/KO win. In a genuine sense, ‘Iron’ Mike was one staunch fan of Ali and his in-ring performances were a certain proof of the same.
