Kevin Durant is arguably one of the best scorers the NBA has ever seen. Forming a super-team with James Harden and Kyrie Irving, the Nets were one of the favorites to win the championship this season.
But injuries certainly killed their season. After the big three missed time in the regular season, the Nets looked all set for the postseason. But the injury bug struck again as Harden and Kyrie suffered from injuries against the Bucks.
Despite missing the two superstars, Durant carried the Nets. If not for a few inches, the ‘Slim Reaper‘ almost ended the Bucks’ season. His valiant efforts certainly made it clear that KD indeed was still one of the best.
Kevin Durant slams Steve Kerr’s comments
While he has been absolutely balling with the Nets, his departure from the Warriors was certainly questionable. From his clash with Draymond Green or him falling out against head coach Steve Kerr, KD’s time with the Dubs wasn’t without controversies.

Recently Steve Kerr made some pretty damning comments. In the latest book by Matt Sullivan, the longtime Warriors coach claimed that Durant cared a bit too much on his trolls in social media rather than just saying “f**k it” like greats like LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
KD certainly wasn’t the biggest fan of Kerr’s recent comments. In a recent tweet, Durant slammed his former coach and claimed that Kerr did not speak about his impeccable work ethic.
I don’t see a problem with me interacting with basketball fans, it should be encouraged…steve should’ve also said that I’m never late and I work through every rep in practice with game speed. That should be more interesting than what I do on Twitter.

While the ‘Slim Reaper’ had three excellent seasons with the Dubs winning two championships and two Finals MVP trophies, years later, the cracks are visible between key members of the franchise and Durant.
KD might be one of the most vocal stars in social media often clapping back on his critics and even his haters. But when on court, the Slim Reaper lets his game do the talking.
Be it his time with the Thunder, or the stacked Warriors or now the Nets, Durant has often proved that he is the biggest star in the team for good measure and can take over games at will.
Durant certainly puts the works in to be one of the best and with his recent performances, certainly knocking at LeBron James’ door and might take the throne in the near future. Is Kevin Durant the best player in the NBA right now?
