Ex-UFC titlist Tyron Woodley is confident about vanquishing Jake Paul on August 29 but in no way seems interested in accepting the uncanny demands from his rival’s side. After refusing a ‘Double or Nothing’ payday offer, Woodley has also scrapped a tattoo bet.
Jake Paul had offered a deal to Woodley about getting each other’s name tatted on losing the fight. He verbally agreed to put ‘I love Tyron Woodley’ inked, if he lost, but only if Woodley would do the same. However, ‘The Chosen One’ is largely unbothered about all of it, with the sheer shelf-belief of stopping his opponent in the fight.
In a chat with TMZ, Tyron Woodley addressed the tattoo-bet issue and said, “It’s kind of childish. But, last time he tried [to bet me] to make it seem like I wasn’t confident.”
“I’m just not finna just let you act like you run the show. Yeah, I bet because I’m confident I’m going to win. I have no plan on getting an ‘I Love Jake Paul’s tattoo.”
“I’m knocking him out.”
After parting ways with the UFC on a four-fight losing streak, Woodley’s boxing debut can bring him back to the spotlight. Meanwhile, a win over Jake Paul would be mesmerizing to attain, especially at this stage of his career. Although Woodley appears to have passed his prime, his sheer experience and power can still be an equalizer in any combat sport.
