Giannis Antetokounmpo Sends A Message to Bucks Fans After Missing Out on Action Against Hawks in Game 5

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks host the Atlanta Hawks in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight. With the series tied at 2-2, this Conference Finals matchup is a must-watch for NBA fans all across the world.

After a game 1 which saw the Hawks steal a game away from the Bucks, Milwaukee made a resounding comeback winning two games in a row. But as soon as the Bucks were looking in cruise control, Atlanta answered back in some style.

Despite missing superstar Trae Young, the Hawks pulled off a massive upset over the Bucks. Game 4 also saw the Bucks’ talisman, the ‘Greek Freak‘ suffer from yet another knee injury. With game 5 probably missing both superstars in Giannis and Young, this matchup is a must for fans all-around the league.

The injury to Giannis was certainly pretty scary in the first place. The ‘Greek Freak’ was certainly on fire against the Hawks and seemed set to lead his team to a comfortable series win against the Atlanta Hawks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to miss Hawks vs Bucks game 5

In game 4 with the score 60-52 in favor of the Hawks, Antetokounmpo went up for a rebound. Coming back down after a massive leap, Giannis landed on his left foot and awkwardly extended his right knee.

While at first glance the injury seemed to be long-term one, reports eventually emerged that the Greek Freak hadn’t ruptured any of his ligaments. But the injury is certainly significant enough that Giannis misses game 5. Recently NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Giannis was set to miss the next game.

This is certainly a big blow for the Bucks ahead of a crucial matchup. With the series tied at 2-2, this game was a must-win for Giannis and Co. Given how inconsistent Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton are, Giannis missing the game might be a massive game changer.

With Giannis out of the lineup, the Bucks will need their home crowd to step up massively against the Hawks. The ‘Greek Freak’ certainly hopes that the crowd becomes another player in the roster.

The Milwaukee Bucks certainly have a golden opportunity to make it to the Finals this season. If they want to win the series, streaky star Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday will have to lead the team to the ultimate glory. Will the ‘Greek Freak’ be able to do the same?
