Rickie Fowler got his first PGA Tour victory back in 2012 at Wells Fargo Championship. And till date has a total of five PGA Tour wins. But in the last couple of years, he has been on the struggling side. Rickie has not won a single trophy since 2019. Furthermore, he did not even have a top 10 finish until the recent PGA Championship.
But during these tough times, he’s had his wife Allison Stokke with him through thick and thin. And slowly things are getting better in the last couple of months. But now, the Fowler family is joyous as they are all set to welcome a new member to their family. Rickie Fowler posted a picture on social media to announce that his wife, Allison Stokke is pregnant. Who is Allison Stokke, wife of Rickie Fowler?
Allison Stokke is a famous athlete herself. She was born in California and had skill and interest in pole-vaulting. She received an athletic scholarship to study Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. Allison continued to pole-vault but unfortunately could not make it to the United States Olympic team in 2012.
Then, after a couple of years, she became a model for Nike and Athleta. However, Allison and Rickie were first captured together in 2017 at a MotoGP event in Texas. The couple has made appearances on the PGA Tour and also played the Masters par-3 contest together. They exchanged rings in June 2018, and their relationship developed quickly after that.
Allison Stokke once told Vogue about their marriage: “Rickie, Justin Thomas, and I flew up to Southampton a few days early for the U.S. Open. At the end of the day, we were the only people on one of the beaches, and Rickie asked Justin to take a picture of us. After a couple of photos, I looked over, and Rickie was down on one knee with a big smile on his face.”
The pair finally tied the knot in October 2019 and have been together since then. Now, in 2021, Fowler and Stokke are all set to welcome their first baby in November.
Allison Stokke might not be pole-vaulting anymore. Despite that, Stokke and Fowler are one of sport’s most beloved couples. Both have found decent success in their respective sport, and they lead a great life as well.
