Eugenie Bouchard Injures Her Arm Ahead of Wimbledon Championships 2021

Former World No.5 Eugenie Bouchard is not playing at the French Open 2021. Fans were quite disappointed when they got to know that the Canadian beauty would not be a part of the Grand Slam.

Eugenie Bouchard recently met former American Ice-Hockey player, Ryan Kesler. The NHL legend posted a picture with the Canadian player on her Instagram handle in which both of them were twinning. Kesler even wrote, “Team Sunshine” in the story.

Surprisingly, one can notice that Bouchard has recently injured her right arm. She is wearing a black-colored hand support pouch by which one can analyze that it is quite a severe injury.

Even though fans don’t know about the details of her injury right now, they expect the Canadian player to recover soon. They also hope that she’ll be ready before the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and be back on the court by then. They haven’t forgotten her 2014 campaign there where she ended up as the runner-up of the major. However, they surely want her to finish on the winning side this year.

Eugenie Bouchard in the 2021 tennis season so far

Bouchard didn’t enjoy an ideal start in the 2021 tennis season as she couldn’t even qualify into the main draw of the Australian Open 2021. However, after that, she found some momentum and played incredibly well, especially in the doubles category.

The Canadian star ended as the runner-up of the Guadalajara Open 2021- both in the singles and doubles category. In addition, she was also the runner-up of the Lyon Open 2021 in the doubles category.

The last tournament where she participated was the Monterrey Open 2021 where she, unfortunately, suffered a first-round exit. It was Zhu Lin who thrashed her in straight sets there.

Even though Bouchard hasn’t been able to perform consistently, she has definitely shown a lot of improvement in her gameplay. Fans still have huge expectations from her and want her to make a spectacular comeback after she recovers from her injury. Will she be able to lift a title in 2021?
