‘Best Display of Offense’: Draymond Green With a Huge Shoutout for Brooklyn Nets and Their Roster Strength

The Brooklyn Nets, after they signed the big three, felt like a dream team that could alone win even an Olympic Gold for the US. As the season matured, they added more All-Star pieces to the already strong line-up and almost became invincible.

It was only because of the sustained injuries, or hypothetically, they might’ve gotten a 65-07 record with a healthy roster all year long. But as their Big Three played only eight games together, they ended up settling for a 66.7% win percentage instead. However, the playoffs are different and here they’re playing in full capacity. So is it that they’re undefeatable?

Draymond Green with his advocacy of Brooklyn Nets

The Warriors’ Draymond Green is one of those veterans who never shy away from picking the gold and praising its worth. So in a recent interview, the superstar defender talked about the weapons outside of Big Three that makes the Nets lethal.

The 31-YO forward expressed, “It’s the best display of offense we will probably ever see in this league. We’re talking about those three guys but Joe Harris leads the league in three-point percentage. Then you rotate and you swing it to Joe. That’s when you rotate for Kevin [Durant], Kyrie [Irving], or James [Harden]. You got Bruce Brown who makes a world of a difference for all the dirty work. He plays the dunkers if he is [indiscernible]. You have Blake… who’s dunking the ball, who’s all over the court…”

He made all the sense because 29-YO Joe, a regular starter for the Nets, enjoyed an insane 47.5% three-point shooting in the regular season. In fact, he has only bettered that in the postseason to reach 50+ in downtown efficiency. Plus, Bruce Brown adds to the rotation with 55.6% field shooting and decent defensive rebounding.

So is it impossible to stop them from winning it all?

The team sustained a mid-season pulling out of LaMarcus Aldridge and removal of Spencer Dinwiddie (ACL injury) from the season. Yet, they’re an offensive goldmine because they’re a carousel of All-Star playmakers, prolific shooters, magical ball handlers, and supreme dunkers. Just as DrayMagic further added, “When you look at this team offensively, you’re not going to stop. You stop one guy, you got the other two going on. And their defense will be good enough and the reality is those other teams have to score as well, and that’s not easy to do. So when you try to outscore these guys and which teams are going to have to do it. I can’t see it happening.”

Now that the trio has shown amazing chemistry in the last five games against the Celtics, it’s obvious that camaraderie is not an issue. So for a team to break the Nets, they’ll have to put the world’s best defense in place while also being highly efficient on possessions. Can the Bucks do it now? Or can the Lakers match it later? Only time will tell.
